Spring Brunch {Part I}

About a week ago, I posted my Spring Brunch inspiration board and a sneak peek a recent shoot I styled. Today, I’d like to share more pictures with you {Part I}! I was honored to be asked by Aleah & Nick Valley of Valley & Co. to style a shoot for the second edition of their fabulous e-zine and share my Spring brunch ideas! With sunny thoughts flooding my brain, I just couldn’t resist. For the full story behind my inspiration, be sure to check out their e-glossy pages here.

{Part 1} The Table

The setting was a bright green field. The perfect backdrop for an all-white, crisp table.

When I think of Spring, images of fresh clean linen hanging from a clothes line in a big green field dance in my mind. That is what the table felt like to me — just perfect.

Six white vases of different shapes and sizes were grouped tightly and lined the center of the table. The all white flowers were gathered from the local farmers’ market and included hydrangeas, ranunculus, spray roses and wax flowers. These centerpieces could also be great inspiration for white wedding flowers.

Whether you are looking for your own Spring brunch ideas or just white party ideas in general, I hope you’ll find some inspiration here.

Butterfly Birthday Soiree

Clean and simple party themes always catch my eye and this party submitted by Eileen Liu Photography is just that. If you are looking for butterfly party ideas or just a simple and lovey party theme – this one is gorgeous. All the lovely details were created and styled by Liz and all photography was done by Eileen (you might recognize them from the Bird Themed Baby Shower featured last month). This pair has a style I just adore!

The birthday girl – celebrating 8!

Lovely, natural feeling butterfly decor.

Pink lemonade with green and white striped paper straws adorned with a single butterfly – cuteness!

And little treats…

For the guests to take home.

I love the clean, Spring feel to this party. The white and green (with just a touch of blush pink) worked really well. You can see more photos of the colorful food served and the adorable party favor bags over oat Eileen Liu Photography.

Green Pancakes

Looking for something fun to do on St Patricks Day morning? Well, if you want to do more than a Lucky Charms treat for St Patricks Day food, consider this green pancake recipe!

Nothing fancy here, simply add green gel food coloring to your favorite pancake recipe. Cook as normal, stack em’ up and serve!

Hostess Tip: You can always make pancakes ahead of time and freeze. Since St Patrick’s Day is on a school/work day this year (which are really busy mornings in our home!), I made these up and put them in the freezer. Then, all I have to do is pop in the microwave for 2 minutes and serve.

A Lucky Breakfast

Looking for a little something thoughtful to do for the kiddos on Saint Patrick’s Day? This is what I have planned for my girls – a little simple St Patricks day food! This will be an extra special treat to wake up to because they never get to have “sugary” cereal for breakfast (it’s dessert in our house!).

Glass jars filled with green milk (of course!). Cupcake liners filled with Lucky Charms cereal. On the breakfast tray, I’ve placed a little love note to my two daughters that reads “I’m over the rainbow in love with you girls.” **UPDATED to include printable sign (end of post).

In each jar, a yellow and white striped paper straw.

Many of you wanted to print the sign I created so I have included it here. The original one, plus a couple variations (to fit your needs!). Enjoy :)
