Looking for something warm, delicious and sure to please for game day? This bacon beer cheese dip will do the trick. Perfect to serve Superbowl Sunday (or anytime you want to impress your guests, really).

This beer cheese dip is the perfect combo of creamy, cheesy, and a little crunchy (thanks to the bacon). The Kettle Brand chips are the perfect choice for dipping because they are a bit thicker than your typical chip and have a great balance of salt and pepper which goes great with the richness of this dip.

Sip It :: Superbowl Sangria

white sangria recipe for superbowl

The big game is a week away, have you made your Superbowl menu? As far as beverages go, beer is a given (of course) but to be honest — I tire from beer quickly. I was thinking that with all that oh-so-good-but-bad-for-you food why not sip something a bit more on the lighter and refreshing side this year? Hence, Superbowl sangria.

This white sangria recipe is full of bright flavors (think honeycrisp apples, oranges and lemons) and I LOVE the idea of pre-making and filling mason jars. On game day, just toss the jars into a bucket of ice and guests can grab and sip as they please.

DIY Office Decor :: Mixed Metal Desk Accessories

DIY Office Decor

I was recently looking for the perfect canister to use on my office desk. I began searching around my house to see what I could re-purpose into some DIY office decor, when I had the idea to transform discarded soup cans into new chic decor. I started by gathering a set of three cans in a variety of sizes. I then removed the labels and washed the cans. Once dry, I masked off sections of the can using painters tape so that I could spray paint them to give them a trendy look.

Mixed Metal :: DIY Office Decor

Since mixed metals are in style, I decided to leave some of the silver can visible and paint stripes using gold and copper spray paint.

I lightly sprayed on two coats of paint and once completely dry, carefully removed the tape.

Group-Collage-Nail-Polish

There are many outlets you can go to for inspiration when you are throwing a party; however, planning one can get overwhelming – and expensive. The good news is, with a little creativity, you can easily add some flair to your next get-together while avoiding spending a fortune at party and craft stores. For example, you can add color to party supplies and décor by using simple and inexpensive solutions, like nail polish! Here are a few DIY ideas on how you can add creative of color to your next event.

Who knew nail polish could be used for party decor?

Dress-up your cutlery

Adding a few stripes of color to the handles of your cutlery will add unexpected style and fun. You can purchase stainless steel forks, knives and spoons at most dollar stores. The set I used (in the above image) came in a four-pack for $1.00, so I didn’t hesitate adding nail polish to dress them up. Be sure to hand wash them once your party is over.
