What? I had you at bacon. I figured that might happen.
I recently decided since everything is better with bacon, that must be true about french fries as well. I was right, these babies are deliciously sinful. The bacon flavor combined with the crispy fry …. so good. Dip them in your favorite dipping sauce (recipe for this Sriracha mayo below) and you have a winner.
In October I shared with you that I would be starting to publish more posts on business related topics in my At Work column. Now that we’ve learned what not to do from Martha Stewart when it comes to social media, how about a few how-to tips that you can put to use today? Whether you are just jumping in on social, or are a seasoned user — I hope these simple tips will help you get started or provide a little refocus.
I always seem to have a bunch of left-over striped, paper straws lying around after parties. I was looking for a way to repurpose them when the idea of a confetti straw came to mind. They are really easy to make and super fun for celebrating events of all sizes.
1. Gather a few paper straws you might have lying around.
2. Pinch one end so that it is creased and folds over. This will ensure your confetti remains in the straw once you begin to fill it.
3. Fill the non-creased end of the straw with small confetti. You can make your own DIY confetti with a small hole-puncher and some scrap paper.
4. Once filled, pinch and roll up the end of the straw so that the confetti stays inside and you have a look of a party blower. When you’re ready to celebrate, simple unroll the curled end, un-pinch the opposite end and blow into the straw to release all of the confetti!
One of my secrets is to make super cute desserts that look like they took a lot of effort. These Valentine’s Day desserts took 15 minutes tops and put a huge smile on my girls’ faces when they got home from school. They are super simple to make!
All you’ll need is graham cracker crumbs, fudge or chocolate pudding and M&Ms. By the way can we discuss the new cherry flavored M&M’s? They are soooo good. I may have eaten a fewthe whole bag.
Heart Pudding Pies
Prepare graham cracker crumbs as directed and press into the bottom of a small dish. Prepare pudding and pour on top of crumbs. Top with your favorite M&Ms and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
