celebraTORI by Tori Spelling | GIVEAWAY
If you follow Tori Spelling at all, you’ll already know that this actress, mom, and entrepreneur is one fierce party planner. What I love about her style is it seems to be a lot like my own — all about the thoughtful touches and details while being mindful of budget and of course she has some great DIY flair. Check out two of her stunning parties:
This yellow and gray party (Tori’s favorite color combo) was designed to celebrate her and husband Dean’s, vow renewal. I love how she so thoughtfully combined elements that represented her interests (think jewelry and shoes) with items that are dear to Dean (hello fabulous yellow motorcycle!). See more pics & lots of dessert details over at My Sweet & Saucy!
Hello pink cuteness! Tori designed this Hello Kitty party for her darling daughter Stella. The desserts by Jenny Cookies look almost too cute to eat. See more here.
And what I’m loving about Tori Spelling’s new book, CelebraTORI (besides the name of course) — is that she keeps it real. She shares her tips and tricks and really wants to help you become a great hostess too. A bonus for me: she shares how she learned to plan a great party from her mother — awe, just so sweet. Maybe one day my girls will dedicate a book to me?! Or perhaps they’ll simply think I’m just one crazy party planning mommy….. time will tell!

I follow on Pinterest and Twitter! We just hosted a Pre-Party Oscar Party! It was SO much fun, we paired foods with the winning movies, had a red carpet and our guests came dressed in their Oscar finest, it was so much fun! I blogged about it! I LOVE a theme party!
I follow on Pinterest. One year we hosted a 20′s murder mystery and absolutely loved how it turned out…used lots of red and black, roses and candle light…turned out fabulous!
I planned an Hawaiian birthday party at home for my daughter who was turning 9. We had grass skirts and leis for each girl when they arrived at the party. While waiting for everyone to come we had the girls make their own knotted sandals. We hired a woman who showed the girls how to do traditional Hawaiian dances and musical instruments. We had lots of tropical fruits, ham and pineapple pizza and a coconut cake topped with a Hawaiian dancing girl. The weather was perfect and the girls got to swim in the pool and have Hawaiian rainbow shaved ice in small cups. The girls took home a small Hawaiian doll plus their skirt and leis.
The most memerable party was one I just thru for my son. It was a going away party cause he was going into the Navy. I had chemo a few days before, and I can remember how tired I was but in the end it turned out great! Got alot of ideas off of Pinterest!
I loved the adoption shower my friend hosted for me. It was perfect!
Just shared and repined on Pinterest!
My parents threw me a going away to Flight Attendant school party! They had our family room set up like the inside of an aircraft! My Dad was the pilot and my mom and brother were the F/A’s! All of our guest were the passengers! We were served food and drinks in our seats! Everyone loved it and had a great time!

I love entertaining, and I especially enjoyed Candy Spelling’s HGTV special “Selling Spelling Manor” where she shared her love of entertaining. I imagine this is where Tori inherited her love of entertaining and celebrating special occasions.
My favorite memories of special entertaining are of my children’s birthday parties. I always decorated, made special cakes and had several fun gift bags to give to their guests. My daughter, now a mother, does her own decorating, entertaining and celebrating special occasions for her children. Last year she did a unicorn party for my 6 year old grand daughter, beautiful rainbow colors, gerber daisies with colored rocks for planting them, colorful candy and a beautiful unicorn and rainbow cake.
We love having parties and celebrating with friends and family. Love to win this book!
I think the best party I have ever pulled off was a baby shower, boy themed, for my sister-in-law – about 50 people – loved it!
My favorite party that I’ve planned was my own wedding! It was a destination wedding weekend in Key West and it was the best time of my life! All our friends and families had a blast too and still rave about it to this day!
I’m following you on Twitter as well!
My friend Tracye is an awesome party planner though she won’t admit it. She did my baby shower for me, used baby food jars as guest gifts from the big sister. Made banner in animals and table decorations. Oh I wish I could post a pic and I wish I could do what she does, though I try. I like Tori watch her show and would love her book!
What a great book! Tori has a great eye for decorating
I have thrown a lot of parties, but my favorite was one that I threw for a friend’s daughter. It was Alice in Wonderland and I had such fun with the colors and theme. It really got me going on my party business. I would love to get new ideas from this book! Thanks so much for the giveaway.

Would love to win this book. I am obessed with Tori’s planning style. In fact, I am an Event planner and have been honored that people say I remind them of her and the “flair” she has for styling events. This book will be mine…one way or the other!! Go Tori!!!
Always dream of owning my own buisness. How did ou get started?
One of my favorite parties was a pirate party I did for my then 8yo son. My favorite detail were the palm trees with parrots in them, but I think he preferred the battle ship :)

I have not personally thrown a party. Woild love some ideas, maybe the book would help, : )
My favorite party is the suprise party i created for my parents 25th wedding anniversary. My parents loved it and it even got featured on HWTM, which makes me so damn proud because everything including most of the food was DIY on a teeny-tiny budget.

My favorite party was a baby shower for a friend who was expecting twins. I guess her husband thought it wasn’t that hard being pregnant so a challenge was made that he had to wear one of those pregnant pillows during the shower. well he was very sweet at the end saying how wrong he was and how uncomfortable it was to move around.
My fav party is the April Showers 3rd birthday we threw our son, it was so darling!

This book looks awesome
baby shower that I hosted, it was a pea in the pod theme. I made little felt pods and placed pink mini pop-pops in them to look like peas for the shower since my sister was having a girl.
I just saw Tori Spelling on Rachel Ray this morning. (Phila) I have always love hosting & planning parties. Do to no fault of my own I lost my job last yr 2011. As a result of that I enrolled in Culinary school & I recently Graduated last month 2012. If I win this book it would be a great asset for me. Cause financial I cant afford the book right now.I love the creative things Toridoes in the book. And I want to plan an Belated Graduation party when I get up on my feet aka a job. Great work Tori & best wishes while you await the arrival of your Baby. From Robin Stinson
My all-time favorite party has to be my oldest daughter’s 6th birthday party: a Chinese Party! We strung lanterns, played chinese music, ate fortune cookies and practiced our kung-fu moves. It was so colorful and fun. The kids seemed to enjoy it as much as me!
My favorite party was my cousin’s wedding. They had tons of those gorgeous clear light bulbs hanging everywhere – it was so cozy and personal! Thank you!
We used to go to these Holiday Galas where they would have the local High School choir sing carols. They would have a white elephant gift exchange and it would be catered.

My favorite party was my daughter’s 6th birthday party. It was Wizard of Oz themed and the house, foods (Witch Hat cookies) and activities were centered around that. My daughter even wore a Dorothy Costume. All the kids loved it.
I like you on Facebook (Les Johnson).
