How to Make Hot Chocolate Spoons

What’s better than a warm cup of milk before bed? Okay who REALLY has warm milk before bed? I wonder these things.

But a warm cup of milk with decadent chocolate spoons to stirs things up? Hot Chocolate Spoons….I’m so in.

These easy treats are a perfect way to enjoy an after-dinner treat. Simply stir in a warm cup of milk and enjoy! They make for a great treat when having company during the holiday season and can even be wrapped up for teachers as gifts. If you’d like to make them ahead of time for last minute guests or gifts, just store them in a Ziploc® Bag and keep in the freezer. Pull them out an hour before needed and enjoy.

Hot Chocolate Spoons

Makes about 10 spoons


Parchment paper

2 cups melted chocolate

10–12 spoons, wooden or plastic

1/2 cup of your favorite toppings, optional (Pictured above: crushed peppermint pieces and toffee bits)


Before you begin, lay out a piece of parchment paper on the counter. Next, melt the chocolate as instructed. Dip each spoon into the melted chocolate and lay on the parchment paper. Quickly, add toppings (if desired) to the chocolate before it hardens. Leave out to let cool and harden, or place in freezer for 10 minutes. Once hardened and you’re ready to enjoy, simply stir into a warm cup of milk!
