Summer is speeding our way. I want to say “bring it on” but honestly, I start thinking of how much time I have left to “get ready.” You know all of those boxes that need checking before you can fully embrace summer and “check out” a bit yourself? For me it’s things like making sure I’ve planned summer trips (have you ever tried booking a beach campsite in southern California? You have to plan six months ahead–no joke), get kids’ activities and camps ironed out, coordinate dates for a family vacation, find bathing suits for yourself + two growing daughters, uh-hem… get into shape. The list goes on. But boy do I LOVE summertime. This summer should be extra special because I’ll be taking some extended time off of work to hang with my girls. I. Cannot. Wait.
Here’s a few things I’m currently dreaming of for this summer.
Wait for it…..boozy pops!
Can you even believe these boozy popsicles? I am ALL about the frozen drinks when it’s 100+ degrees outside. I recently discovered these pops and got super giddy. Looks like they are not yet available in the US (can we petition or something?!) so I might have to try my hand at a DIY version. Don’t they just sound wonderful? Boozy pops sound like the perfect summer cocktail to me! (more…)
Looking for fun and festive New Year’s Eve Cocktails? If so, you’re in luck. Although I do love to serve a nice bottle of champagne (or two) on New Year’s Eve, I also like to mix things up a bit by offering guests a unique cocktail that they might not have tried before. These three recipes are simple to make and fit the bill for the perfect New Year’s Eve Cocktail. Grab these few ingredients ahead of time and you’ll be ready to play bartender!
First up, a Spicy Tomato Martini that will be perfect to serve anyone who is a fan of martinis or Bloody Marys. (I happen to love both!) It’s crisp and flavorful and really an interesting vodka cocktail to serve. Be sure to grab vodka, Clamato Juice, and Tabasco.
Next we have another vodka option, a Cranberry and Rosemary Cocktail (which you can serve as a mini holiday martini version as well). Mini martinis are fun to serve before dinner or as a dessert drink. Pick up cranberry juice, vodka, and fresh rosemary and cranberries for this one.
Third, we have a twist on the traditional mimosa with this Tangerine and Thyme Mimosa (which became my favorite this season). The tangerine lemonade gives it just enough familiar citrus flavor but a lot lighter than typical OJ. And the thyme makes it just so interesting. Grab Tropicana® Tangerine Lemonade, champagne, sprigs of thyme, and tangerine slices for garnish.
What will you be sipping on this New Year’s Eve? Will you make any of these New Year’s Eve Cocktails? If you do, be sure to tag @HostessTori and #TSCocktails on Instagram!
If you’re looking for a fall mimosa recipe or unique Thanksgiving cocktails to serve guests, be sure to bookmark (or pin) this one!
I recently teamed up with my friends at Megan Media and Tropicana to put my at-home mixology skills to the test. Of course, the thoughts and opinions here are my own. #MixedWithTrop
I love to serve mimosas when entertaining—they are simple to make and always a crowd pleasure. But the same old recipe can get a little boring, so I decided to mix things up and create a flavorful fall mimosa using a unique combo: tangerine and thyme. I live to try out new flavors when creating cocktails to serve guests; it’s always fun to share new flavors with others. When you think “mimosa,” you typically think of orange juice, not tangerine lemonade! I’m thinking this is going to be my new go-to ingredient for my at-home cocktail recipes this fall. It’s so delicious!
If you’re looking for a fall cocktail, this Apple Cider Moscow Mule could be your new go-to. The apples, cinnamon, and ginger combine for a nice fall flavor pallet perfect for this time of year. And, if you happen to live somewhere where the weather is still sweltering hot (like I do)…this is perfect because it’s served over ice in a nice chilled copper mug.
Have you been on the Moscow Mule bandwagon? Typically, I try resist anything overly trendy but you just cannot argue with this drink–it’s so versatile and refreshing! Plus, I have a thing for copper so it doesn’t hurt that you can get so many cute copper mugs! I have a small collection going on and love to mix-and-match the styles.
To make this drink you will need vodka, ginger beer, and apple cider (get it fresh from the produce section if you can), and limes. (more…)
Hip, Hip, Hooray! Or should I say Sip Sip Rosé?! It’s Friday and that means it’s time for a big exhale. It’s been a looooooong week over here. We’re trying to jump back into work and school starting after some time off. Also, our pup is also pretty sick after having and emergency surgery (think Marley and Me situation) so we’re trying to get him back to his normal self). How come getting back into the groove after vacation is just so painful?
This weekend will be full of photoshoots and some special projects but I’m definitely going to make time to sip a glass of rosé and take a breather. How about you? Grab your own “Sip Sip Rosé” sign below! Cheers!
If you’re looking for more rosé options, you might want to try one of these rosé spritzers.
I’ve had a hard time finding a rosé I love at the local market. I would LOVE your suggestions! So far my favorite bottle has been this 2015 Sauvetage Rosé I found on ClubW (I might have ordered about 12 bottles this summer). But I’d love an option I can run to the market and grab on a Friday like today.
(PS if you want to check out ClubW wines, I highly recommend them. You can use my referral link).
So tell me … what’s your favorite go-to Rosé to sip? Friends share wine recommendations. It’s totally a thing, so dish.

If you’re looking for a new summer-go-to drink recipe, frozen drinks are the perfect choice! This vodka slush is perfect for a crowd and is so pretty guests will love the bright summer colors!
Summer is here which means my mind is on frozen cocktails. I love how versatile they can be (and how simple they are to whip up). I recently made partnered with DOLE® to create these pineapple and peach slushes for a day lounging poolside. When the temps rise your mouth will be watering for one of these tropical drinks, trust me!
The exotic flavors in this drink are so refreshing which makes it great for sipping on a hot day. I topped it off with a big splash of DOLE® Canned 100% Pineapple Juice which was just that perfect added touch. Bring out a couple pitchers or serve individual glasses on a tray. No matter how you bring them out, guests will be very happy. (more…)
