Best Gift for the BBQ Lover!

I have been meaning to share this {fab} find with you for some time now. Grill Charms are the only gift you need to give that BBQ lover in your life! Grill Charms offer the perfect solution to identifying your grilled items. If you have ever found yourself cutting into four different steaks in an attempt to find the one cooked rare, or mixing up the spicy chicken with the teriyaki…Grill Charms are your new best friend.

Trying to BBQ and make sure everyone receives the right steak while simultaneously “flipping, grilling, drinking, watching the kids run around the back yard and maybe catching the score through the patio door” is a daunting tasks, so just put a charm in it!

How they work:

“Grill Charm your food prior to cooking to indicate steak temperature, food seasonings and spice, or to address health or allergy concerns. Your food is personalized before, during and after it’s cooked.
The way you want it each and every time!”

Grill Charms come in multiple designs and collections, check them out!

Oh and check out this fabulous tip: Enter code “FBT” at checkout & receive $5 off your order!

Hip Finds for Entertaining

I recently stumbled upon this adorable online shop {completely by accident} and knew I had to dish about it…meet Monkey See Boutique. I immediately began crushing over several items, from trendy organization finds to a posh pettiskirt I know my littlest girl would love… with every click I found more stuff to love! A bit overwhelmed with what to share, I decide to choose a few of my favorite items for entertaining.

Harlequin napkin and tray gift set {perfect for a hostess gift}, Peace-Love-and-Cocktails {one of many stylish personalized serving platters}, and a Fleur De Lis Bottle Topper.

These serving platters are so fun! Look at the details on the handles of the martini tray and the birthday cupcake tray!

Yes, I do. I love bows. And now, I love this stripped bow drink tub and this pretty cake stand.

See, if I hadn’t been procrastinating browsing around the inter world I would never have found this adorable little shop. Aren’t you glad I did?

Not Flowers Again! Try Giving a “Practical” Moving Gift

It seems that the more people you know, the more often you are buying cards and presents. For each friend or family member we have, we add a wide selection of special gift-giving occasions such as Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, getting married, having a baby, going to college, or moving into a new home. Some holidays like baby showers are designed for the gift giver to offer practical gifts that can be used for that purpose. Other special occasions like weddings make it easy for us to buy practical gifts with registries that tell us exactly what our friends would like the most. Then there are those “unusual special occasions” that we never know what to buy. You know which ones I am talking about, the ones that you usually end up giving the “old flower” standby. My latest quandary is what to give someone who is moving. (other then flowers!)

  • Moving to college?
  • Moving because they are getting married?
  • Moving because they bought a new house?
  • Moving because they are having another child?
  • A realtor giving a gift to a person who bought from them?

So that led me on a search to find a very thoughtful yet practical present to give to someone who was moving. My idea stemmed from being practical. I though, hmmm what do they need? After all, we give baby clothes to people having a baby (because they need them), so why not give moving boxes to people who are moving, right? That was my “aha” moment. Moving boxes…practical……thoughtful….and simple.

Why not give moving boxes and moving supplies to someone who is moving? Not particularly impressive, but oh so needed and appreciated. I came across a fabulous web site that offers moving boxes and moving supplies in a “moving kit.” You click on the size of home you have and they recommend the right number of moving boxes and supplies with FREE SHIPPING. Yes, free- very cool if I say so myself. For example, for only $88, you can buy all the moving boxes and moving supplies a person needs to move a 2 bedroom home or apartment. All of the sizes are there, if you need a larger size or a smaller one. Then, have them shipped right to the recipient’s door.Thoughtful and simple. I know if I was moving, I would totally appreciate this gift.

Go to http://www.movingboxdelivery.com for more information.

Flowers are nice, but remember, sometimes practical gifts are the most appreciated. Have you ever given or received something “practical” as a gift?

Try this gift out and be sure and let me know how your friends and family like it! I’m sold on this idea. Some times it’s the little things, you know?

Cookies Sure to Impress

Anyone with a sweet tooth knows that a cookie is just not a cookie. Some are softer, some you crave more, some are perfect warmed, and well….some are just adorable! These cookies definitely fall into the “adorable” category. The Flour Pot has turned a delectable cookie into the perfect gift idea. Check out some of my favorite designs:

Shaken Baked, Not Stirred. Martini and Olive cookies.

Cakes and Gifts, perfect for any party or to send as a birthday gift!

I am loving these cookies that are decorated as colorful fruit.

And perhaps my favorite, cookies that help you celebrate your engagement! You can send these as a gift to a newly engaged couple OR better yet, send them to your future bridesmaids. The Flour Pot has came up with the most thoughtful way to ask that special gal in your life to be your bridesmaid, send her an adorable cookie in a box that asks, “Will you be my bridesmaid?” How thoughtful is that?! Take a look at their custom designed bridesmaid cookies.

For the Grooms!

Let’s be honest, wedding registries are usually chalked full of home furnishing and kitchen items that the bride is swooning over. Sure- the groom may have added a grill or gave his input on the color of the bathroom towels, however most often- wedding registries lack “guy stuff.” Well, not any longer- grooms everywhere can rejoice, your voice can be heard!

Check out this guy-geared site, The Man Registry. Grooms can now really get excited about creating a wedding registry, with gadgets and gizmos galore- this is the perfect place for a “groom only” registry or a place to get some awesome groomsmen gifts. Here are some of my favorite groomsmen gift ideas:

Any groomsmen would be happy to receive the above gifts. Not only are they cool and out of the ordinary, they are something that one can actually use (and enjoy) over and over.

1. Soft sided cooler. Hold up to a 12 pack and you can even get this monogrammed. 2. Poker set- now they can invite you over and get your game on! 3. Floating beer pong table…loving this! I think everyone has that one groomsmen who would love to receive this as a gift! 4. Jalapeno griller. Have a grill lovin’ groomsmen? This is perfect for stuffing and grilling jalapeno peppers. HOT!
