Our week of new margarita recipes continues with today’s beauty — a pomegranate margarita! What do I love about this cocktail? It’s bright in color but light in flavor. Pomegranate juice is a great (healthy-ish) mixer and the splash of lime seals the deal.
I’ve been on a mission to come up with new flavorful margaritas and although yesterday it was all about the spice of this jalapeno margarita, today we’re getting just a touch of sweet with this tangerine margarita.
The juice of a honey tangerine is complemented so well with freshly grated ginger that the whole thing just screams “I’m so refreshing, drink me!”
This jalapeno margarita recipe knocked my socks off. I’m adding this recipe to my growing “spicy cocktail” collection and filing it right next to this jalapeno martini.
It’s nice and refreshing like a traditional margarita but with a light kick of heat from the jalapeno. I’m also in love with the subtle cilantro flavor that comes through. I’m predicting that this jalapeno margarita will be the star of your next Taco Tuesday or Cinco de Mayo party!
I have this love, love relationship with my ice cream maker. It’s super simple to use, allows me to whip up batches of deliciousness (in 30 minutes!), and makes me look like I have culinary guns. Oh and the best part is when I get to give it away and make someone’s day. Okay, it’s pretty good when I keep it for myself to (if I’m being honest).
Strawberries and cheesecake are a combo you just can’t argue with. I created these simple strawberry cheesecake bites using Pepperidge Farm puff pastry cups which add a delightful, flaky, element to this bite sized dessert.
Begin by baking your puff pastry cups and slicing your strawberries.
It’s spring, which means the Mr. and I have gotten dirty replanting our garden. We have a pepper box that never fails to produce WAY more jalapenos than we can consume. We eat them raw, stuffed, chopped, pickled and baked into bread. It was only a matter of time before we figured out how to drink them too.
disclaimer: you shouldn’t drink this if you don’t like a little heat
The first step is to infuse your vodka (this will take about 10 minutes).
Once your vodka is infused, it’s as simple as shaking it over ice!
If you’re ready to add a little spice to your 5 o’clock hour — make this Jalapeno Lemon Martini.
