Serve it :: Lemon & Rosemary Cake

Lemon Yogurt Cake

Lemon desserts have not always been my favorite. In fact, I dislike most of them. But when I was looking into cakes to make that had savory flavors, this Lemon & Rosemary Cake recipe peaked my interest. It isn’t too “lemony” and the rosemary isn’t overpowering either. This cake is a well balanced marriage of flavors. Topped with a light lemon icing — this lemon yogurt cake was a winner. Definitely making this again!

Gift Idea :: Homemade Coffee Creamer

homemade coffee creamer :: peppermint

The holiday season brings many chilly mornings and even more opportunities to cozy up with a hot cup of coffee. One of my favorite additions to a freshly brewed coffee is a great creamer. What better way to enjoy the season than with a mug full of holiday flavor?

This homemade coffee creamer adds that beloved minty flavor to your favorite morning (or evening) coffee. Make two batches – one for you and one to share with a friend or neighbor. It’s really simple (and inexpensive) to make.

Pumpkin Beer Soup

It happened. I had leftover pumpkins from Halloween and decided I would make soup out of them. I’m not sure why I was intimidated, it was super easy — yay for firsts!

pumpkin soup

What I loved about this soup is that it had a great texture to it. I could taste the veggies and they still had some bite. I like my soup with some bit and pieces of love still in it.

This soup would make an amazing course at your Thanksgiving dinner. You could even make it up early in the week and it will be fine in the fridge until Thanksgiving. Double “yay” for getting things done ahead!

Thanksgiving Soup Dippers

Soup Dippers for Thanksgiving

This time of year is great for testing new recipes. And with Thanksgiving being next week, you will likely have hungry guinea pigs to test your new creations on. My favorite part of Thanksgiving dishes has to be the herbs. Herb-a-licous flavors make me happy.

I recently made these soup dipper pastry squares that are full of those herb flavors I love. They were so simple to make using only Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets, olive oil and herbs!
