Weddings are perhaps my favorite occasion to celebrate, and also my favorite to coordinate. Love, romance, and a plethora of fresh blooms– I mean come on, who doesn’t love weddings? When coordinating a wedding, I tend to favor simple ideas that create a stunning result. This DIY wedding aisle inspiration from Martha Stewart Weddings is one of “those.” Look how simple this idea is. Fresh rose petals and hurricane vases with floating candles? Very simple but oh so stunning, right? I just had to share this!
When my best friend asked me to help her come up with a theme for a bridal shower she was hosting, I was so exicted! After all, a bridal shower is a big deal… a memorable day for the bride to be and a great excuses to focus on romance. The bride’s wedding color was was red and her flowers of choice, roses. We had to come up with a plan that did not result in the party space having any hints of Christmas or Valentines Day. I think we pulled it off! Here are some shots from the party itself and wow, did it look romantic!
To set the tone, these red botanical invites were sent out with all the pertinent details. As guests arrived they followed a path lined by white candles and dusted with red rose petals. A handmade wicker and floral wreath greeted guests at the door with the bride’s initial “M” hanging in the center. Vintage chic red table runners topped white linen cloths and each table had simple yet elegant centerpieces. Red roses and floating candles gave off a very romantic feel.
This intimate bridal shower really complimented the bride’s personality; elegant yet easy going. Good food, good drinks, great company- a perfect way to honor a bride and heck, romance itself. Cheers!
Decorate your party table top with diamonds! Place these diamond paperweights at place setting or scattered around your table top. Light candles atop these chic diamond candle holders for the perfect bling centerpiece!
I am loving these cocktails! Perfect for your diamond themed shower, the love in bloom cocktail. Elegant and luxurious as well.
Even if your Bride’s wedding color is not blue, I think this blue bridal shower theme will be a hit. Every bride needs the “something blue right?” What I love about this color for a bridal shower, is that it is a bit unexpected. We often see this pale blue color theme used for boy baby showers, but not for many other occasions. There is just something elegant and soft about this blue bridal shower theme that I think brides will love.
The elegant blue table setting are so simple. Classy but functional (and inexpensive) with the blue plate actually being a paper plate. These place settings are dressed up with the silver flatware and glass stemware. You can also serve blue cocktails like this Blue Martini to tie your something blue theme together. I love this idea for a bridal shower!
