Lavender Baby Shower Theme
To be honest, I am not a big fan of anything in the purple color family. However, I was creating this inspiration board for a lovely lavender shower and have come to love it. The soft sophisticated color scheme shouts romantic and classy in the same breath. I encourage you to consider lavender as your next party theme- whether it be a baby shower, bridal shower, or even Sunday brunch. Go ahead, try it!
My first thought was this would be a perfect palette for a baby shower. More modern than your traditional pink or blue theme, this lavender color scheme is soft enough for the baby aspect, but classy enough to make the mom-to-be feel really honored.
Above from left:
- Skip the baby or bridal shower cakes and serve these petite brownie bites from Martha Stewart, iced with a simple purple flower.
- Simple yet sophisticated table scape featured on The Knot keeps it comfortable and still with a formal feel. Setting a nice table is a great way to honor the mom {or bride} to be.
- Serve guests champagne with a sprig of lavender for a romantic aroma {Martha Stewart}.
- A fun treat for party guests, a purple fortune cookie soap favor.

Arg! You beat me to the lavendar post this week; I love Martha’s lavendar ideas, and the soap is too cute!

Lavender is a beautiful color for a baby shower. It is definitely a nice change from the traditional pink or blue. Purple was once considered a royal color and could only be used by the royal family. Using the purple color shceme you could easily put together a “royal prince or princess” baby shower theme. I love the purple fortune cookie soaps.
I love lanvender. planning a baby shower for family this summer and i’ve been turn on what colour to go with. Those little brownies look cute
